Status: Sold

A signed archival giclée by Kamran Khavarani (Iranian-American, b. 1941), the architect and painter credited by UCLA art historian Albert Boime as the founder of "Abstract Romanticism." Trained in the classical tradition and later transformed by the mystical poetry of the thirteenth-century Persian poet Rumi, Khavarani developed a lyrical abstract idiom of sweeping, luminous color. His work has been recognized by the Library of Congress and noted in the Congressional Record. Titled "Abstract Series," this composition dissolves a floral landscape into pure color and movement — masses of magenta, violet, and rose blossom against a luminous sky of cerulean and gold, with reflections shimmering across water below. The effect is at once garden and dream, the forms caught between recognition and abstraction in the romantic, immersive manner that defines the artist's work. Signed in gold script at the lower right. The piece is an archival glossy giclée mounted on acid-free foamboard beautifully presented in a custom frame with mat under glass, framed dimensions 36 x 27". It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist, confirming authorship and reproduction rights. A refined, vividly colored work by a recognized contemporary artist, accompanied by signed documentation — well suited to a collector of abstract art or a contemporary interior. 36 x 27" framed
