#7471 • Candlesticks Pair Gorham Sterling Silver Weighted Bases, 7 in.

Part of Closed Art Gallery and Decor Online Auction (timed auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

Pair of Gorham sterling silver candlesticks with classic trumpet form sockets rising from domed stems and broad circular bases. The bases are embellished with a continuous applied scroll and foliate border, giving the set a traditional formal table presence suited to both display and use. Underside marks indicate Gorham, Sterling, reinforced weighted, and pattern number 1170, providing clear maker identification. These candlesticks offer the balanced proportions and substantial look associated with mid century American sterling tableware. Their weighted construction gives stability, while the restrained silhouette is elevated by the decorative rim treatment at the base. Sold as a matched pair. Height: 7 in.
