#7175 • Classical-Style Bronze Nude Male Figure, Arm Outstretched, on Black Plinth Base, 26"H

Part of Historic Manor Downsizing Auction (timed auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

A classical-style patinated bronze figure sculpture depicting a nude male in contrapposto, presented on a stepped black plinth base. The figure is modeled with an athletic torso and naturalistic musculature, the head turned slightly with short, textured curls, and the left arm extended outward in a gesture suggestive of address or offering. The surface appears to carry an intentionally mottled, antiqued patina with areas of green verdigris and warmer brown undertones, emphasizing the worked texture and giving the piece an archaeological character. The modeling and stance draw upon Greco-Roman ideals of the male nude, a tradition in which the balanced weight shift and open gesture were used to animate the body in space and invite viewing in the round. The compact format and integral display base make it well-suited for shelf, pedestal, or desk presentation as a decorative sculpture in the classical taste. Size: 8 x 6 x 26"
