#7053 • Pair Bing & Grøndahl Danish Porcelain Children Figurines, 6"

Part of Historic Manor Downsizing Auction (timed auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

A charming pair of Danish porcelain figurines from the Bing & Grøndahl factory in Copenhagen. The first figurine, bearing model number 1568 and the B&G three-tower factory mark on the underside, depicts a young girl in a cobalt blue dress seated on the floor while tenderly holding a baby in her arms—a design sometimes called "Children Playing" or "Sister and Brother." The second piece, marked #1745 with corresponding factory stamps, shows a girl in a similar cobalt blue dress kneeling beside a white cat, gently petting the feline companion. Both figurines exemplify the soft Copenhagen palette of rich cobalt blue against white porcelain with delicate flesh-tone accents and glossy underglaze finish. The three-tower mark with "B&G Copenhagen Denmark" confirms the pieces' Danish origin. These figural studies capture innocent childhood moments with the refined craftsmanship that made Danish porcelain celebrated worldwide throughout the 20th century. Both in apparent good condition. Each approximately 6" H. Bid per piece, final bid x 2
