#7043 • Pair of Lladró glazed porcelain nautical boy figurines, Daisa marks, 9" H

Part of Historic Manor Downsizing Auction (timed auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

A pair of late 20th-century Spanish Lladró glazed porcelain figurines depicting boys in nautical dress, each with a toy sailboat, both bearing the underglaze blue Lladró factory mark and “Hand Made in Spain,” with one example additionally marked “DAISA 1982.” One figure is modeled as a standing or leaning sailor in a pale blue jacket and white trousers, posed against a stylized mooring bollard set upon a cobblestone-textured base, the sailboat cradled at the waist. The companion figure is modeled seated astride rocky shoreline forms with softly mottled glazes, holding a sloop with rose-toned hull and white sails; a small dog accompanies at the right, reinforcing the narrative seaside theme. The modeling emphasizes crisp folds, smooth high-gloss surfaces, and restrained pastel palette characteristic of Lladró’s mid-to-late 20th-century decorative production, intended for cabinet display and thematic collecting. Size: 4 x 4 x 9" Bid per piece, final bid x 2
