A sculptural Hollywood Regency–style metal daybed or chaise, finished in a warm brass-toned patina and designed with an enveloping, serpentine back and arms. The openwork frame presents a graceful program of looping scrolls and elongated ovals, punctuated by small foliate bosses at key junctions and a continuous arched crest rail that gives the piece its airy silhouette. At the corners, the posts are capped with cast swan-form finials, an ornamental motif closely associated with French Neoclassical revival taste and later Regency interiors. A twisted, rope-like stretcher detail spans the front, reinforcing the classicizing theme while adding visual depth against the linear vertical supports. The overall effect is light yet architectural, well-suited to use as a daybed, reading chaise, or statement bench in a bedroom or sitting room. Maker is not apparent from the images; the design aligns with Maison Jansen–inspired and broader French Regency revival interpretations popular in decorative arts of the later 20th century.
