#7246 • Quality Piece! Brass and Glass Octagonal Coffee Table with Geometric Stretchers, 19"

Part of Historic Manor Downsizing Auction (timed auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

A sculptural, Hollywood Regency–style brass coffee table with an elongated octagonal glass top, likely late 20th century. The table is constructed with a warm-toned brass frame supporting a thick, clear glass surface cut with angled corners and set within a narrow metal surround, presenting a clean, architectural profile from above. Beneath the glass, the understructure becomes the primary decorative program: a pair of large demi-lune (half-round) stretcher elements span the long sides, joined by a central vertical support with a fluted or twisted collar detail, creating a symmetrical, graphic motif visible through the top. The base is organized on four squared legs with recessed panel-like aprons and stepped corner blocks, giving the piece a tailored, neoclassical inflection associated with Regency revival and Maison Jansen–influenced cocktail tables. Designed to read equally well from all sides, this format is characteristic of brass-and-glass tables popular in high-style interiors, where the transparent top highlights metalwork and proportional rigor while keeping the footprint visually light. Size: 58" x 30" x 19"
