#6407 • Pair of Giltwood Side Chairs with Custom Silk Upholstered Seats, 41"H

Part of $15 Million Great Falls Downsizing Mansion Online Auction (live auction by Prime Auction Solutions)

Status: Sold

Pair of elegant side chairs featuring intricately carved giltwood frames with a decorative shell and scroll motif along the crest rail. The custom silk upholstery is a rich, toned fabric fixed in place with ornate nailhead trim along both the seat and the shield-shaped back. Each chair rests on shaped cabriole legs with carved details that extend into the seat apron. The back and seat present a lustrous, satin-like finish, lending a refined touch to the overall design. Condition reveals some wear to the gilt surface, particularly along the upper back and legs, consistent with age and use. This pair would complement traditional interiors or serve as accent pieces in various settings. Bid per piece, final bid x 2 19 x 18 x 41"
